Early Voting in 2020 US Election: More Than 90 Million People Already Vote
More than 90 million Americans have cast their votes in the US presidential election.
According to the count of ballots that have entered the center of the US Election Project at the University
of Florida, as of Saturday (31/10/2020) local time, as reported by Reuters, Sunday (1/11/2020).
This is the highest recorded participation rate in more than a century of elections in the US.
Record-breaking rate, about 65 percent of the total number of voters in the 2016 election.
This means that this reflects the high interest of the US public in this year's voting, at
where incumbent Donald Trump, a Republican, is up against Democratic presidential candidate Joe
Biden, former vice president in the Barack Obama era.
A large number of US citizens have either voted by mail or voted at the polls
early on, amid fears the coronavirus could spread in the polls on the day
An election that will be frenzied.
So far Trump has lagged behind Biden in national polls in the middle
criticism of the Trump administration's handling of Covid-19, which has killed nearly
229,000 people in the United States, with the number of new cases once again breaking daily records
ahead of Election Day on Tuesday (3/11/2020).
Because of this, many parties think that the Democratic presidential candidate will benefit
significant in the initial vote.
Experts predict the turnout will surpass the 138 million people who will vote inside
Trump's winning 2016 presidential election.
Only 47 million people came before General Election Day in 2016.
In the 20 states that report party voter data, 19.9 million registered democrats have
choose.
Meanwhile 11.5 million from Republicans and 8.8 million without party affiliation have distributed
his voice.
